Game Review
This is not another mindless shoot'em ups game, but a problem solving game, and intelligent game. In the motion planning problem you have to move an object from a start to a goal position. The object should not collide with any of the obstacles. The object can both translate and rotate. In the game the object is green and the obstacles are blue.
The goal position is indicated with the outline. There are solutions provided in this game. Should you need it.
This program gives you some insight in the type of research done at the Department of Computer Science, Utrecht University, in the area of robot motion planning. This is freeware.
Playing Motion Planning
You move the object by clicking with the mouse on the red or green arrow at the left top. By holding the key you can make the object move slower. The goal is to find the shortest possible collision free route.
System Requirements
A modern PC (preferably a Pentium) running Windows'95, 98 or NT 4.0 or later is required. After installation the program uses about 1.5 megabytes disk space.
