Asteroid Mayhem - 300kb - Asteroid Mayhem is based on the classic Arcade version of Asteroids. You can thrust your ship around to get on the Asteroids and the aliens. Pick up the blue crystals, try to get o the high score table. Run the game in DOS as it is very slow in Windows if you want to run sound at the same time.
WinRoids Windows 95 - 445Kb - This is a shareware game, costing $20.00 to upgrade to the full version. The aim of the game is to blow up the Asteroids simple. The graphics are updated from the original and are raytraced giving a 3d effect.The shield is limited and is governed by the green power bar at the bottom of the screen. Gameplay is pretty quick on Pentium 2 machine and gets quicker as you progress throught he levels. This is definitely the better of the 2 games.
